Hi,
Dr. Webb Sentell here,
I’m very excited about our new nonprofit status. I wanna say a little bit about how I developed the heart for this project, and my background that led us to this point. I began learning magic from my older brother at 7 years of age. Somewhere between 9 and 11, I began to perform for remuneration in my neighborhood. and elsewhere. My first real outside show was at Meadowbrook nursing home in Minden LA. My mother was very supportive of my quote “entertainment career”, when she later in life moved to Live Oak residential center. I did an annual show there where I performed magic, and at the very end did a mental magic memory feat. It seemed incredible to the audience, until I showed them the nemonic strategy I used. Some of these pictures show me doing magic at Live Oak with my mother, and her friend assisting one of the tricks. She would be so proud that we would achieve nonprofit status, and I’m quite certain that she would donate some money to our cause. When you see me wearing the Gordon Plaid, this is due to my mother’s Scottish heritage. I never thought of it until recently, but her father was in the dairy farm business, and perhaps that’s how I developed I love for the dairy quote “camouflage”. At any rate, we’re very serious about entertaining and educating seniors, and improving their quality of life. They’re one group in our society who is too often overlooked, and left to be sad and lonely in some retirement facility. Help us to change that. Thank you very much!
